Here’s to Good People.

I just submitted an ad for mid November insertion in the Reading Eagle. My client and good friend Justin Bortz of Justin Bortz New World Jeweler wanted to showcase not only a new design for fall, but to help promote something bigger. Seventy three feet bigger, in fact.

The Sacred Oak Pendant, a stylized oak tree set in sterling silver, was born out of a love for community, history, heritage and nature. You see, Justin was inspired by the Sacred Oak of Oley Valley, a 500 plus year old tree with a history like no other (you can read up on it here). He helped host a fundraising event with live music, wine and art at Reading’s very own LouisLong Gallery in October which helped raise over $3000 to help Oley, PA fund the preservation and care of the ailing tree.

It’s an inspiration being around people that help make the world a better place. And I can personally attest that Justin is one of those guys. If you’re in the West Reading area any time soon, drop by his shop. You’ll be glad you did.
